I have had quite a few clients so far this year ask about online courses that can help with a career change or developing their current role. This list is a brief summary of some course providers both in NZ and overseas that offer online learning and some of the courses are free!
AcademyEX
A new New Zealand online university. “We provide innovative learning programmes that build relevant skills and capabilities to match the requirements of our constantly changing world."
Some courses are free, some short courses are low cost and there are also postgraduate courses with fees similar to a university postgrad course.
LinkedIn Learning
Expert-led courses across a variety of online class topics for every step of your career. Instructors with real-world experience. With a LinkedIn account you can get one month of free learning. A great way to try an introductory course in an area you are interested in before deciding if you’d like to go further in that field. You can put the course accreditation on your LinkedIn profile.
Udemy online courses
Some are free (put ‘free’ into the search bar. Others cost a small amount. Particularly strong for technology related courses.
